Diana coached me through proper care for my wound vac, pain levels, and mental health, while I was at what seemed to be the worst time of my life. She did it with a positive attitude, a smile, and sincerity that transferred belief to me that maybe one day everything would be normal again.
Throughout my stay, I witnessed Diana perform under immense pressure, and never did she waver from the standard of care she provided to me and the other patients she was responsible for. Diana made my stay in 5 North not only enjoyable but productive and effective, and I know I was not the only one she exemplified this behavior for.
The way Diana cared for her patients was endearing and effective. Her teamwork was exemplary and I never heard her say she couldn't do something to help her patients or coworkers. For this, I believe not only does she deserve the DAISY Award, but also much more!
