Diana produces healthy conflict management solutions, and she encourages productive collaboration among the teams.
Diana performs her role at an exemplary level and demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to her leadership team, staff, and the customers we serve daily. Diana listens to the concerns of her team, provides constructive feedback, and boldly advocates, getting ahead of a constantly changing environment. She empowers us to be great, encourages us when we struggle, and cares about us as individuals. As for the customers we serve, her ability to build a trusting relationship with transparency, factual data, and prompt feedback serve among some of her many attributes. She consistently identifies and labels a problem and ponders how it can be an opportunity. This avant-garde approach to problem-solving separates her from other management styles. Her passion for patient care and best practices complement her leadership skills. Diana takes personal ownership in a crisis by aligning the team, explaining the many challenges but effectively finding ways to engage, motivate, and clearly communicate the importance of the new goals and information. This is clearly demonstrated during the COVID-19 pandemic when she provided support staff to the units throughout the hospital. She worked with senior leaders across all specialties to cover the need throughout the hospital. She produces healthy conflict management solutions, and she encourages productive collaboration among the teams. She is innovative and a very effective communicator. She provides leadership to external projects that are associated with the overall functions of the hospital (ie. the Doyle Tower build, PPC, SSEC, and numerous other programs). She was instrumental in the start of the joint pathway at Morton Plant and its success. Diana's thoroughness refers to not only having a plan but knowing all the elements of the plan inside and out during each stage of the plan which allows her to prepare solutions to potential problems and implement these solutions quickly and effectively. These leadership qualities create a culture that produces high-performing teams where both the business and the people thrive, this makes Diana a DAISY Nurse Leader.
