I have had the good fortune of having Diane as my Nurse Preceptor as I complete my nursing degree. In every encounter, I have seen her exhibit incredible compassion and tremendous skill in treating and caring for each patient and their family members while on the unit. She is an exemplary nurse leader and advocate for her patients, staff, and others around her. She advocates and works for safe staffing and helps each member of the team to strive for their best daily. She always comes in ready for the day and with a warm wonderful, devoted disposition that is infectious to those around her. She routinely covers staff members including nurses and assistive staff to provide them with breaks and delegates roles democratically and with an understanding of each member's strengths all while delivering expert nursing care to her patients. She treats every person with respect and kindness in each encounter. She is truly an incredible model for what a nurse truly should be and I am so grateful and fortunate to have learned from her and to have had her as a mentor. In any situation, I would feel comfortable and confident with Diane as the nurse treating myself or my family. I have nothing but the highest of regard for Ms. Bonet and heartily feel that she is a true DAISY Nurse.
