At the end of February 2024, the EMTs took my husband to the ER at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. Joe had cellulitis and sepsis. It was an extremely serious situation. He was to be released from the hospital on the sixth day. The doctor said he should go to the nursing home. We both knew that would not work for him. He was then 91 and still desired to be able to continue his intellectual pursuits. In the nursing home, he would not have his books, magazines, and computer for his projects. Someone suggested Aspirus Home Care.

Diane and the team provided a program of medical care and exercises to meet his needs. They were professional, caring, and encouraging as individuals and worked as a team. Joe welcomed their care and is still following the daily exercise regimen. I don't think it is an exaggeration to say that the Aspirus Home Care team, who cared for Joe, helped to save his life with their care and by enabling him to be at home. We will always be grateful to them.
