October 2018 Honoree
diane frohning, RN
A PA student noted that Diane Frohning was working in the ED when a patient came in with a complaint. Diane was familiar with the patient, having cared for him several times in the past. She proceeded to address the patient's concern, but remembering that he had recently had surgery, decided to look at his wound as well. The wound was not healing properly, and Diane made sure to clean it well, and even went so far as to locate and alter a pair of scrub pants for him to wear home, so the wound would be able to "breathe" better. Throughout the whole visit, Diane was incredibly kind, respectful and showed compassion toward the patient.
Thank you, Diane, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
