She gave her a sponge bath, brushed her hair, put on a clean smock, and gave her dignity in her final moments, and within an hour, she passed away.
My wife was admitted to the ER recently. She had stage 4 cancer and has been on chemo for the past 3 years at Kaiser. At the beginning of this year, things started to get worse, and she was in and out of different hospitals; she was deteriorating, and the end of her life was near. I called 911, and she was taken to the ER. The doctors realized that she was near the end, so they moved her to a private room, and her daughter and I were with her. The nurse who looked after her (I don't know her name). She was a wonderful lady. She gave her a sponge bath, brushed her hair, put on a clean smock, and gave her dignity in her final moments, and within an hour, she passed away. It brings tears to my eyes writing this; if possible, I would love to meet this lady to thank her in person for being so kind. I understand this may not be possible, but at a minimum, I would like people in management positions to be aware of my 100% satisfaction with the Care from ER and this nurse. You have an excellent hospital.
