Diane Hawks, RN

Our nurse leader has been with the organization for over 40 years. Diane is humble, soft-spoken, and always there to lend a helping hand. She will start an IV, transport a patient, and wash a stretcher (if needed) to help her team. She manages patients, employees, and physicians, who can be difficult at times. She always keeps her cool. She stays late and comes in on her day off many times to help on a busy day. When any nurse is in crisis, she listens attentively and allows them the time needed to work it out. Sometimes, when you talk to her, she has tears in her eyes because of her empathy for the situation. Her team is dedicated to her because her strength and gentleness make her a nurse to emulate. Our unit runs like a well-oiled machine. It is because of our fearless leader.
