Diane displays all of our mission and values in an exceptional manner from the moment she comes into work until the very end of a long and often busy day. Not only is she one of our CSN’s, she is also on the Skin Team, Team STEPPS, Unit Council, Peer Review, an EPIC Superuser, is chemo certified, and a Clinical Coach. She takes her many roles to heart always being positive, encouraging, and supportive. Recently there were some needs that came up from our sister units and Diane immediately stepped up to be of assistance. 2 North did not have a chemo certified RN and Diane went out of her way to go to the unit and help which allowed for safe care of the patient. 4 North unexpectedly was in need of someone to do their prevalence and incidence last week and Diane was more than happy to assist. No matter what is asked of her she does her very best to strive for exceptional. As a nurse at the bedside she is kind, caring and compassionate with patients and families. She takes time to listen, hold their hand, answer questions and has even stood crying with a family when loss had occurred. As a CSN, she is a champion for mentoring nurses, having difficult conversations when needed, rounds on patients every day and always sees change as a way of making things better. When she is here, I have no worries! She is an excellent nurse, CSN, and team member!!
