Dr. Nunez was nominated for this Award by one of her current graduate students in the adult-gerontology NP program.  The student writes, "Dr. Nunez has been one of my professors since August 2016. She shows teaching excellence continuously with every student interaction. Dr. Nunez is very knowledgeable and always has her student 's best interests at heart. It is obvious that her ultimate goal is that all of her students not only successfully complete but excel in the DNP program. Dr. Nunez has recently been helping me write grant proposals for my DNP project to help me obtain funding. Helping me with this project, had no benefit to her but she still gave up her time to talk with me, edit my application, and write me an outstanding letter of support. I know I am not the only student in our program, but I am sure that she would do this for any of her students. She is truly an excellent professor and has made an extremely positive impact on my educational journey. I hope to one day teach at ASU when I complete my schooling and I am lucky to have a professor who represents everything I would like to be as an educator.
