The March 2010 award recipient is Diane Paulsen, RN, of the PACU Department. Her department supervisor, Sharon O’Hara, nominated Diane for the award after Sharon received the following compliment from a fellow employee regarding Diane’s care:
“On August 27, 2009, our daughter, Rachel, who has Down’s Syndrome had a surgical procedure. Diane Paulsen, the pre-op nurse was extraordinary with Rachel. She talked to Rachel in a clear language that she could understand; she looked at her at eye level and took her time with Rachel. Diane was very patient and kind and did a fantastic job! ABMC is very fortunate to have her here. What an asset to the hospital!”
