Diane Stannard, Ambulatory Staff Nurse-PRN, Ambulatory Surgical Services, Children’s at Meridian Mark
“She is the nurse you would choose to take care of your own family member,” said one of Diane Stannard’s co-workers. A 35-year nursing veteran, Diane has the same passion and excitement you would expect from nurses who have just begun their new careers. She comes to work each day with a positive attitude and plenty of smiles. Diane also decorates the unit year-round with season and holiday themed toys and decorations. The decorations are just one part of her commitment to providing a caring environment for patients. Although she is not a formal leader in the unit, many people look up to Diane for giving excellent customer service and forming great relationships with each staff member. She spends the majority of each shift inside patient rooms making sure that she addresses every need, care and concern. When she’s not in a patient room, Diane is likely helping a peer. She carries a small notebook with her that contains a wealth of information and volunteers herself as a resource to her co-workers. Diane also stays involved at Children’s by being active on our family-centered care committee and there’s no one better for the job! Diane is a pleasure to work with and everyone who interacts with her appreciates the experience.
