Dianne helped lead the way for the nation's first Advanced Spine Certification with the COI at MidState with zero findings.
Recently we received the JCHAO accreditation for Advanced Spine Certification, the first hospital in the nation. That does not happen without the leadership of Dianne Vye. In a quiet and humble way, Dianne works with various leaders and staff to prepare for these visits. She supports teams that have led to success, in not only the Advanced Spine Certification Designation but also the Advanced Total Hip and Knee Designation along with several other awards. It is her willingness to offer help whether it is a COI project or getting her advice when starting the OR's journey towards Go Clear Award or even a hospital outside the state that reaches out to see what we have done for these awards. If we are now considered the benchmark for this advanced spine certification it is because of the work of many and the leadership of Dianne Vye.

Dianne is a wonderful nurse leader and a tremendous asset to Hartford HealthCare. She is extremely organized, well-versed, and well-prepared for regulatory and other accreditation visits. Her most recent and significant accomplishment was the simultaneous preparation and execution of 3 successful Joint Commission Visits in the Central Region. She helped lead the way for the nation's first Advanced Spine Certification with the COI at MidState with zero findings. Two weeks later the COI at MidState had another overwhelmingly successful visit for the Advanced Hip and Knee Replacement Re-Certification where there was only a single low-risk finding that is already being addressed and a corrective action plan submitted. Finally earlier this week she successfully navigated the HOCC Orthopedic program through the Core Hip and Knee Replacement Re-Certification without any findings. Her hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed and should be recognized at the highest levels.

Dianne has successfully created an innovative platform within Hartford HealthCare for the Connecticut Orthopedic Institute within the Central Region. From the beginning, she has worked diligently through an interdisciplinary lens incorporating all key stakeholders for an optimum patient-centered care experience. It is with this dedicated work ethic that Dianne has successfully led COI to ascertain a re-certification of Advanced Hip and Knee from The Joint Commission (TJC) and the first-in-the-nation Advanced Spine Certification issued by TJC- all within a period of three weeks. Dianne truly lives the mission, vision, and core values of Hartford HealthCare and is a role model for all colleagues to follow.
