Dileane Mathews RN is the House Supervisor in charge of the nursing staff of the hospital during the dayshift she has a broad knowledge of the hospital's policies and procedures. She is an exceptional link between management and clinical nursing practice in the absence of unit managers on weekends and holidays. She acts as a resource to ensure adherence to Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center's mission and philosophy. One of her duties that is the most difficult and can sometimes feel impossible is the comfort of patients and family experiencing grief. Most recently a family who had experienced a perinatal loss returned to the hospital; afterward, they expressed their appreciation for the genuine understanding, respect, and warmth Dileane showed them during their grief.
