While my father was a patient in the ICU and being treated for COVID, he had a Nurse by the name of Dimitra who went above and beyond to assist my father and my family. She called us on Facetime and assisted him with interacting with us, even though he was on the ventilator. She paused while we were praying and said her grandmother trained her to always be respectful of prayer. I cannot speak highly enough of what comfort she brought to both my dad and us. She was able to get a pen and paper and he was able to write questions that he had and between Dimitra and us, answer his questions. It is Nurses who truly make a difference in healing and comfort! What a true calling that nursing is, and we are so thankful that Dimitra accepted her calling.
