They noticed I was nervous and took time to reassure me; they had a very calming voice and a caring personality.
This person went way up and beyond the needs of a nurse to make sure I was comfortable. They made me feel like I was important and worth the effort of their time. Their bedside manner was impeccable; I couldn’t ask for a better nurse. I can’t really put into words how they made me feel that would truly express all the appreciation and gratitude I felt. Thank you.

I met this person when I was waiting for surgery. They noticed I was nervous and took time to reassure me; they had a very calming voice and a caring personality. This person was my RN for at least 5 of the nights I was here. They got to know me, and listened to me when I could go most of the day with the pain being controlled, but at night I would need all the medications available to me. This person worked with me to think outside the box. We were able to make the couch into a bed. I slept better for 4 hours on the couch than the 7 previous nights. This person is the type of RN that we need to duplicate, and I hope that future RNs can learn from this person. I’m glad I got to go home, but I truly miss this person and their encouragement. I have worked with RNs professionally and this is the type of RN that knows their patients inside and out.

After an extensive 7-hour back surgery and being a registered nurse myself for 40 years, I believe I know one’s heart well after spending a rather challenging, for me, 8 hours with them. This person was never in a rush, always answered my questions fully, explained hospital policies professionally and with a caring spirit.
