Dina has such an energetic and positive spirit that it radiates to all staff and patients alike.A patient was undergoing a painful procedure that included an incision and drainage of multiple sites of his body. I found Dina crouched next to his bedside holding the patient's hand while stroking his hair back.She was talking in a soft tone, distracting and calming the patient.This moment amplified what nursing is.In this moment, Dina used the power of healing touch to comfort a veteran in need.Her caring act made me proud to be a nurse and honored to work alongside her.
