Dina was in and out of my life in a matter of hours, but I will remember her for years to come. She instantly felt like a concerned friend rather than a nurse who had been 'assigned' to take care of me. I had emergency surgery for a herniated disc -- on the day of my first granddaughter's wedding. She knew how disappointed I was to miss this grand event. She was so tender in consoling me that our family would understand and reminded me several times that they would be thinking about me and praying for me. She was as concerned about my mental comfort as my physical comfort. She even got me to laugh a few times. She was thoughtful and comforting and answered my questions in an understandable way - since my brain was a bit fuzzy. I felt like Dina was an amazing guardian angel on a terribly painful day - mentally and physically.

As a physician myself, and now being on the other side of the curtain, I was able to see how amazing nurses truly are. I was an ER doctor for 20 years and my RNs were my right hand - I knew how valuable they are. But to be treated by one, this time in PACU, was a new experience for me. Dina was so personable, caring, and comforting. She made the recovery process actually fun because we were making each other laugh. Nothing makes you feel better than laughing. She was amazing, and I so appreciate her. Many thanks to all the staff and a big thank you to Dina.
