If rays of sunshine could be bottled up into a person. Dipti would be the result! She works on one of the busiest med-surg units, and you will never see her without a smile on her face. Her personality and positivity are infectious and will immediately put you at ease to see that you're working the same shift as her, or that she is caring for your loved one. With her knowledge-base and experience growing, she is now one of the unit's charge nurses, which is a feat in itself!
Her first day as charge nurse, she dealt with a patient behavioral situation that many have never experienced. She resolved the issue with such grace that other staff did not even know it had occurred. The patient was given the greatest level of care and discretion to bring the issue to 100% resolution. Did I mention that Dipti did this on her first solo day as charge nurse? Amazing!
I would want her in the "trenches" with me any day!
