My daughter came to the ED at Fairview while having and asthma attack. She was nervous and struggling with her symptoms and emotions of it all. Dmarcus immediately came in with great energy and started a conversation with her to distract her from the chaos around her. He got on her level and made her feel comfortable and not alone. He explained his allergies and asthma that he has and made her feel like she was not the only one with the symptoms. He asked about school and made jokes to make her feel happy and comfortable. I have not seen a nurse not only love his job but care for his patient like that in a long time. It was very refreshing, and we will forever be grateful to him.
