My husband was very upset. He had a test done in the morning and at 8 pm, we had yet to hear the results. My husband wanted to sign himself out. Steven, our attending nurse was very customer and quality-focused. He calmly and professionally spoke to my husband providing all the right reasons to stay. It was his interpersonal skills, communications, and trust that convinced my husband to stay. He was able to be proactive with his skillset in nursing, rather than being reactive to my husband's concerns. I was simply amazed by Steven's behavior, technical and functional knowledge, care, and good disposition! Steven is an asset to the team and to the MMC organization. He is a role model for all the attending nurses.
