Doe was my nurse for 11 hours through the majority of my induction through to the delivery of my third baby. She was orienting a newer nurse during my stay. I was impressed with the level of competency and professionalism she possessed while simultaneously encouraging autonomy and critical thinking of her orientee and putting my mind at ease through the various phases of labor. It was evident that she is an excellent preceptor and an asset to her peers.

During the latter phase of labor leading up to delivery, my baby began to develop late decals. I felt complete confidence that my baby was being well monitored and managed through the early signs of distress she was showing. Doe never stopped teaching/orienting, but never missed a beat, staying on top of position changes, fluid and medication management, coordinating immediate post-delivery care of my newborn, and keeping myself and my husband, calm and informed throughout the whole process. I am grateful for the care provided by herself and the entire staff, as I believe it would have been very easy to have an unfavorable outcome had she not been so attentive and responsive to my baby’s changes in status. Thankfully, I have a perfectly healthy baby girl in my arms 24 hours later, thriving in every way.
