He treats his patients with total dignity and empathy.  He is very helpful, communicates, educational, and empathetic toward family members.
Domingo is a top-notch high quality and very professional healthcare provider.  My brother and I have gotten to know him in the past two months that my mother has been on the oncology ward.  He is incredibly respectful toward her as a fellow human being explaining anything he is about to do, asking how she feels, etc.  He treats his patients with total dignity and empathy.  He is very helpful, communicates, educational, and empathetic toward family members.  And we are so appreciative of this. Even though he has a big workload, he takes the time to explain things to us in a clear and calm manner. Domingo is amazing and an extremely hard worker.

Domingo was recognized by the Interdisciplinary team members for his exceptional care to a patient in 3West as well as to her family during the difficult situation.  I attached the emails I got from the people Domingo touched and was impressed with his outstanding care. As his leader, I am so pleased with him.

"We feel that the care that Domingo gave to our Hospice patient, S, was Impeccable & Exemplary.  S's husband, expressed to me during my condolence call that he “Couldn’t believe that the doctor stayed for a very long time to get S as comfortable as possible, and everyone around her was so nice and stayed calm.” All of us witnessed Domingo keeping his cool and attending to her in such a gentle and respectful manner.  Every time the doctor tried a different med or dosage, Domingo was right on it and made the change very quickly.  We stopped by three different times, the day before she died, and the Palliative Care Team responded as soon as they were called, with the distress we were seeing.  This case really was a Team effort and it took several teams to help reach an acceptable level of comfort for her.  Please let him know how impressed all of us are with his gentle, kind, and compassionate nursing skills."

"Domingo was absolutely amazing working with S and her family, especially given the high doses of medications and frequent changes we needed to make to get her comfortable.  I’ve seen experienced hospice nurses struggle with the work that was needed for S and Domingo handled it like a  seasoned professional. He was a very large part of why we were finally able to get her comfortable and let her die peacefully."

Domingo was excellent!  He was very helpful in explaining everything that was happening to me, and very informative.  Kept me and my wife informed on all the results of tests in a timely manner.  Very compassionate and friendly.  He definitely deserves a gold star.  A+ from me and my family.

Domingo from the time I came in yesterday had a welcome smile and his energy put me at ease.  Your smile transfers into a patient-like healing power.  You are busy making sure everyone gets the care they deserve.  I couldn’t stop thinking and thanking God for people like you that were born to do this job with a passion.  The time you take to explain and made sure I understood when you were busy with others.  I thank God the patients are in great hands.  Keep smiling Domingo, your medicine of smiling is healing.

Domingo welcomed me with kind words and a gentle manner.  He explained all medications, and IVs in detail and their possible side effects.  He is always positive and encouraging when I was walking with the walker.  Thankfully he was quick to answer alarms or bells and also any questions.  During a Neurological Doctor visit, I was made to feel as if my pain was not real and it made me sad and I started to cry.  Domingo was very empathetic when I was emotional.  He said kind and encouraging words.  He was not judgemental about my symptoms and I felt he genuinely cared about my feelings.  I also believe he is a positive mentor and teacher.  When updating students of my status he was considerate and precise.  Thank you to Domingo for making my stay at JFKUMC less stressful.
