Dominic politely introduced himself, but he had a special gift; I immediately knew I was with someone who was present in the moment and whose focus was on me. I call it compassion. By the time my husband arrived, I was calling him "St. Dominic." Dominic straightened out my blood sugar and insulin calculations even though it took considerable time and consultations with an endocrinologist.
Dominic carefully completed and reviewed it with my husband and me. He orchestrated my care, working with his staff to meet my needs and requests. He praised accurately his associates. He was prompt to answer the call light. He was always calm and soothing even though I was at times totally fed up with the hospital policy of waking the patient throughout the night.
Dominic is one of the exceptional practitioners. I understand a hospital visit is not going to be perfect, but when I find exceptional talent, I have to say, "Thank you."
