Dom deserves this award because she always goes above and beyond for not only her patients but her coworkers as well. She is always willing to lend a helping hand and never fails to provide the most exceptional care to her patients. Over the holidays, Dom brought one of our longer-term patients clothes, knowing the patient had difficulty with wearing hospital attire. Dom spent her own money on this patient to give him a sense of comfort that is often overlooked by most. She is always willing to help with this patient, whether assigned or not, as they have taken a strong liking to her and are more willing to accept care from her. Dom is the true definition of "love what you do and never work a day in your life." Her positive attitude and energy always make her patients smile. Her love for her job and what she does often shows through her ability to provide exceptional care. I often have found Dom washing and helping our mutual patients before I even had a chance to update their patient board in the morning. Dom is always willing to help her LNAs even when the patient is not assigned to her. I know I can always count on Dom and look forward to every shift with her.
