A patient was brought up from the ER; she was very ill and had a lot of pain and severe anxiety. Don took the time to speak clearly, calmly, and reassured the patient. He consoled her and reassured her that he would not leave the room until she was more comfortable. Don sat down next to her and allowed her to speak, never interrupting her. He gave her water and assisted her to reposition three different times. The patient said he was truly a Godsend. He took the time to change her gown always informing her of his plan for the day. All the nurses were great, she felt that Don was truly within his calling. He was kind and caring in how he treated the patient.
