July 2023 Honoree
Doni Watkins, RN
When I arrived at the hospital, I was already 8 cm dilated and in a lot of pain. I was hoping to have an unmedicated birth, but I was losing steam and feeling unsure of myself. Doni was positive and kind and made me feel seen and understood during and after my labor/delivery. Doni supported and encouraged me through contractions and pushing. I felt cared for and validated in both my pain and my ability to meet my goal of having an unmedicated birth. I ended up delivering without an epidural and Doni was a big part of making that possible. Doni is the kind of nurse every new mom needs. She is warm, supportive, and knowledgeable
Thank you, Doni, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
