I arrived for a stress test nervous about what the procedure entailed and the potential risks this test could have. Being a nurse, I know the possible complications of the exam. Donna Graziano, RN alleviated any stress. She educated me about the medications that were going to be given and what to expect. She kindly and competently guided me through each step of the way. She administered IV medication flawlessly and started my IV with ease. Her competence and compassion rated as 10 out of 10. She had excellence in nursing skills and outstanding bedside manner. She attended to my physical and emotional needs during this difficult time. Her level of experience, care, and competency all come together to make an excellent nurse who deserves recognition! Her personality was so lovely and a perfect fit during a procedure that can be stressful. Donna made a difference I will never forget. Her support, care, and concern were essential. She is an Extraordinary Nurse that is committed to Quality of Care here at HRH. She made the experience actually enjoyable rather than a stressful test as it ordinarily could be.

Donna strives each and every day to meet the health care needs and expectations of every patient. She greets each patient with a cheerful greeting or a compliment. Many times I am amazed as to how she does this as I know she is tired or stressed or has many things to complete but yet she still makes the patient feel special and welcome.
Donna consistently demonstrates professionalism as she works with the healthcare team to encourage the health of each individual and deliver safe, compassionate and dignified patient care. Donna may be described as diligent and persistent as she assists each patient and/or family member. There have been many occasions when patients have had severe struggles navigating the healthcare system and Donna has become their advocate and assisted them through the struggle. She has assisted patients with the home oxygen process and the VA process. She has spent countless hours with patients and/or their providers attempting to have the patient referred to cardiology, pulmonology or for further testing when others may have given up. She has assisted a patient to obtain more effective pulmonary medications as she recognized the patients metered-dose inhalers were not appropriate for that patient. Despite the many obstacles she may encounter, she is successful in doing what is right for the patient. It is evident that she genuinely cares for her patients and her coworkers.
