Donna Howard 2023, RN

Donna is a hardworking, caring, great nurse who cares about the health and needs of her patients. She is always there when you need her, and she doesn’t mind helping her PCAs out as well when they are in need. I enjoy working with her as my nurse, because she is compassionate about her job and it is obvious that she is just a genuine person overall. I began working at DMH as a PCA in September of 2022 and Donna immediately took me in and didn’t hesitate to help me if I ever needed anything.

Donna has been a nurse at DMH for 35 years and throughout her career, she has touched the lives of many people. She takes her job seriously and puts the safety of her patients first.

Donna demonstrates a positive image of professional nursing by using therapeutic communication with patients and families and meeting their needs to the best of her ability. She possesses not only the high-level skills of a professional nurse but a compassionate heart, making her one of the best!

Everyone on the 3rd floor loves and appreciates Donna and all she does for her colleagues and patients. She is truly the backbone of our unit and I speak for everyone when I say we are thankful for her leadership
