Donna arranged an “ice cream date” with the extended family members of a stroke patient during a COVID surge when visitation was limited. She positioned the patient towards the window at the front of the hospital. The patient and her husband ate ice cream in the room while her grandsons ate their ice cream sitting in front of the window of the hospital. Donna provides incredible patient care. She constantly goes out of her way to provide compassionate total care for patients and families. She receives compliments from patients, families, and other health team members almost every day that she works.
