Donna and I attended a code together. Donna's role was to be with the family and provide them support. Unfortunately, the code did not end well and the only family present was a 19 year old son. After receiving the news of the outcome of the code, the patient went into shock and ran out into the parking lot. Donna went out into the parking lot to help the son through a traumatic experience, she provided him with emotional support and strength that he needed to get through the loss of his father. Donna cares exceptionally for all of her patients, their families and all of the staff in Soin ED. Donna is the most compassionate nurse that I have ever met.
