When I was only a few days off orientation, I had a very sick, fragile, unstable patient. Donna repeatedly checked on me and reassured me that I was doing everything I could correctly.
Donna has been a nurse for 40+ years and not a single moment has gone by where she has not given her all. She had been a preceptor, and now a "work mom" and I couldn't be more thankful for her. She took me under her wing and wholeheartedly enjoyed teaching me. It may sound trivial but she gives the most meticulous bed bath I have ever seen. It goes beyond the medical aspect of caring in nursing, but the caring nature and nurture for human beings and their lives. Conscious patients are always so grateful afterward - to feel clean, feels like a million bucks, and as for the unconscious patients their families feel reassured that Donna truly cares for their loved ones as a patient and a person. She will help her co-workers without thinking twice. She may have a tough assignment and always lends a helping hand.

She eased my nerves and give me such a confidence boost. She checked on me and answered my numerous questions on top of her already busy day/assignment. As I move forward in my nursing career, I strive to be another Donna.
