Nursing is not just a 12 hour a day job, it's a full time commitment. For the last 27 years Donna Shepherd has comforted our patients, supported their families, and provided a level of care that is unparalleled. She is incredibly gifted and so willingly shares of her time and talent with her patients and her coworkers.
Early in her career Donna earned the nick name, "Black Cloud". No, it is not an Indian name. This nickname was given to her by a physician who had the utmost confidence in her and her ability. This same physician would often ask that Donna be assigned to his patients as he (as well as others) quickly recognized that Donna is the "total package", a kind, compassionate, advocate with a great sense of humor. She is amazing in all aspects of her job and a great role model.
Donna has been a hard working "PATIENT FIRST" nurse. Always ready to get the job done, she knows her patients and can scout out a potential problem before it becomes a big problem. She is always pleasant and cheerful and ready to work!
