This nurse not only took care of my brand new baby, but she also took care of me! She very much treated us as a team! Donna always had a smile when entering his room and had encouraging words for baby and I. Through the hardships of having a baby in the NICU, it is so refreshing to come across nurses like Donna! With every test she performed on my some, she explained what she was doing, why she was doing it, and what the results meant. From the start of her shift to the end, she made me feel comfortable, happy and so blessed to have her caring for my son. Her gentle words and care truly showed her passion for her career. Not only myself but my son took to her extremely well right from the start. He had to be put under light therapy today and Donna took such great care of him throughout the changes! Donna is a DAISY Nurse because of the never-ending support she shows to the babies and parents, great communication skills and all-around kindness. I will always remember the impact she has made on our NICU Journey.
