I would like to recognize RN Donnadel for the extraordinary care and compassion she provided during my hospital stay.

At a time when I was feeling uncertain and anxious about my condition, she took the time to clearly explain everything and patiently answered all of my questions with kindness and understanding. She never made me feel rushed. Instead, she made me feel truly heard, respected, and genuinely cared for.

What I love most about her is her ability to anticipate my needs before I even had to ask, even though she has a lot on her plate. Whether it was addressing my pain promptly, adjusting my pillow to ensure my comfort, checking on my PICC line to ensure it was clean and dry, or offering reassuring words during difficult moments, Donnadel consistently made me feel safe and supported.

One particular moment meant so much to me. She addressed my concerns about my plan of care and, when it was not clearly addressed, stepped in and advocated on my behalf. She ensured my questions were answered and that I truly understood what was happening. Her advocacy and compassion made a lasting impact on both me and my family. She gave us peace of mind during an incredibly stressful time. She truly has a compassionate heart.

One of the most meaningful gestures occurred when I was feeling emotionally drained. She offered to take me outside for fresh air, letting me feel the sun's warmth on my face. Even while experiencing severe pain, that small act brought me a moment of joy and comfort that I will never forget.

I could feel her genuine commitment to my well-being despite how busy she was. She personally wheeled me downstairs. She gave me hope and inspired me to get better.

Because of Donnadel, my hospital experience was far better than I ever expected, and I am very thankful to her. She exemplifies what it truly means to be a nurse and is deeply deserving of this DAISY Award.
