Dorcas Gray, RN

Dorcas was professional, patient, compassionate, joyful, humorous, and attentive. She shared with us that her mom lived far away and she wished she could take care of her mom, but since she couldn't be there for her mom, she was dedicated to giving the care to her patients, that she hoped her mom was getting. Our mother was not an easy patient to care for. Dorcas told us she believes you receive what you give and therefore, she always treated even the most difficult patients with respect and compassion. With every action we observed, Dorcas proved she lived by those beliefs. My mom was blessed to have benefited from the care Dorcas provided.

Our 89-year-old mother had Dorcas as her day nurse for 2 days. Dorcas was so compassionate and patient with her. Even as she was putting in an IV, Dorcas began to hum a song and Mom commented on how nice that was. She was so positive with her! Mom said to her, "Dorcas, I don't know how I was so lucky to have you!" Dorcas also was very compassionate to my sister and me. She said Mom reminded her of her mother. She was such a blessing to us!!
