Our story…with spinal cancer comes immense pain. With that comes a large number of narcotics leading to confusion for some patients. This was the case with my husband. Often times at night, when I could not be there, he would cry out for me. Doreen, who has the voice of an angel, would sit beside him and sing him back to sleep. How wonderful that was. A couple of his roommates would share that experience with me the following day. They too were smoothed by her singing. Doreen is exactly the nurse I would want to have watching over me during those long scary nights alone in a hospital room… Love her!!
