My husband and I want to thank Doris for taking excellent care of us during our OB experience and the delivery of our son. She showed selflessness and was a great team player when she showed up two hours early for her shift. We knew we could trust her from the beginning with her knowledge reading our monitor strips, placing the scalp electrode and all the different pushing strategies. During the final minutes of the pushing stage, she showed passion by encouraging me and motivating me - letting me know our baby boy was almost here. On our last day before discharge, Doris showed love for patients and nursing by taking another extra shift. She also made and effort to say goodbye to us before she left.
