We interacted with Doris for no more than 10 minutes, but those minutes made a huge difference during what was the hardest part of our stay. Handing your baby girl over for surgery is very hard, but Doris was so caring and comforting. She spoke and acted with incredible amounts of compassion and reassured us that she would be there to care for our baby the entire time. She never rushed us and told us multiple times to give our little girl one more kiss. We never got to see Doris again, but she is what every single nurse or human should aspire to be. She is goodness through and through.
