Doris was my preceptor in the ED from September through December last year. Doris showed exemplary leadership skills, provided extremely compassionate care to all her patients, and set the bar very high as a role model for myself being a new nurse. She tested my limits while consistently guiding me in the right direction to providing safe, competent care. Through it all, she maintained a sense of humor and warm smile that everyone appreciates deeply. I hope to be as excellent a nurse as she one day.
