I had a pre-assessment appointment with a heavy heart and eyes full of tears (due to a very painful surgical procedure I had 10 years ago) - I was seen by a lovely nurse called Doris. I was emotional.
However, Doris not only read how I felt but she managed at a swift speed to make me comfortable and at ease. This young girl dealt with me with an expertise of a professional in the psychology field. I felt like I knew her all my life. My hopes returned instantly, and I knew everything will be ok. And it was. On the day of my surgery, Doris was the person to come and see me beforehand and as I went under.

In the morning, I had Doris who came to take the drains out and stitches. She took me through the pain so well, asking me to breathe in and out and it worked. Very reassuring and motivating! You've got a young talented Doris here. She was keen to listen, and nothing was a bother.
