dorlyn waits, BSN, RN

Dorlyn Waits is being honored for her excellence in nursing. In her professional role as a school nurse, she provides outstanding care to thousands of middle school students.  In addition to her responsibilities as a school nurse, the recipient has served as a nurse preceptor for TU junior nursing students for over 17 years. During this time frame, she has mentored upward of 30 nursing students and volunteered as many as 1,200 hours towards their nursing education as future nurses. Her generosity and compassion to the profession of nursing is immeasurable.
