Dorothy Schans, RN
Dorothy went above and beyond with an agitated patient. We were on the verge of having to call a code and Dorothy stepped in and was able to get the patient calmed down to the point of being willing to do a Covid test. The patient clearly felt connected and heard by Dorothy. To ensure the patient had a smooth transition, Dorothy even walked her to the unit. Keeping her calm on the walk and stayed until the patient felt comfortable. Thank you, Dorothy, you saved the day with your kindness and sense of humor!
