Doug Ahlers, LPN
I’ve been working with Doug Ahlers for the last seven years and I have seen him go over and beyond for our dementia residents in the harbor. Doug cares about their emotional needs. From medication adjustment and if they seem to be a little off at times. He will buy supplies of food, games, or whatever they need out of his pocket. One time I saw him take a resident's glasses to get them repaired because she couldn’t see. Doug is a compassionate nurse, he goes out of his way and picks up shifts, volunteers, assess residents, and will assist the nurse manager at times with whatever she needs. He is well-rounded in this nursing field and a jack of all trades. Doug is an amazing person and always puts his patients first. He is dedicated, loving, kind, sensitive to patient needs, compassionate, a patient advocate, dependable, and empathetic.
