I was the first LVAD to be done here at University Hospital. Doug was one of the nurses who took care of me. He was very sweet to me and my family. His care was outstanding. He always had a smile on his face and kind words to say. He encouraged me to move and do what was right so that I would heal faster. He became a member of my family for his caring and gentle way. I will always be thankful for him for that. If you had a dozen more there would be only one Doug Pugh. His caring, compassion, and gentle soul has me always grateful to him. I look forward to seeing his beautiful smile when I come back to visit.
