I had an unexpected stay in the hospital the day after Christmas. After surgery I had issues with my blood pressure, so much so that they almost took me to ICU. Luckily, I was taken to Acute Care, where Doug was my nurse. From the moment I arrived, he was very kind. I was worried about everything that something unexpected, like surgery, effects, and I appreciated so much of the care that I was given. He was very attentive, made sure I was not in pain and kept a good eye on my blood pressure. My husband had to travel from Iowa, so he arrived very late. Doug offered pillows, blankets, etc., to my husband to make him comfortable as well. When Doug had to come into the room, he was very quiet and respectful, trying not to disturb our rest. I am nominating Doug not just because of the care that I was given but also because of the manner in which it was given. I hope that he knows that I appreciate him very much. Thank you!
