For the first time in my 76 years, I had major surgery and had no idea what to expect. I was with the physical therapist and as we paced the nurses' station Lisa looked up and noticed how pale I was and asked me to take a seat. My veins had rolled from two IVs, and they established an IV in the other arm. Lisa called for the Rapid Response Team and immediately people came running from all kinds of directions. They stabilized me and I returned to my room. Lisa recognized before I did the critical state I was in and got me through it.
Later that day I was in considerable pain all over my body. Douglas folded a towel, lifted my body and made sure I was comfortable. Douglas explained to me how major the surgery was that I just went through and that was why I was experiencing pain. The pill that Douglas gave me allowed me to get several hours of sleep throughout the night.
Both Lisa and Doug are outstanding nurses who perform their duties responsibly and flawlessly.
