Dr. Mona Wicks is a multi-talented researcher who possesses the tremendous gift of giving of both her time and talents to enable novice researchers and faculty members to continue propelling our great profession forward. As an advisor, she patiently and successfully guides students through the rigors and challenges of obtaining a doctoral degree.  Her exceptional knowledge base makes connecting the often abstract and seemingly undecipherable dots easy to connect. Most importantly, her patience helps to make the many unexpected and unforeseeable obstacles that arise easier to endure. Her caring spirit for people, whether they are right in front of her or out in the community, is palpable. She has been a quiet and consistent inspiration to many for 30 years, and for a multitude others, she is a mentor for life.
