I am honored to write a letter in support of Dr. Tracian Kelly for the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing (CELCON) DAISY Award. I have known Dr. Kelly since she was a student in our FNP program. I have watched her grow and evolve and become a valued member of our faculty. I have come to know her more closely as she assumed the role of FNP coordinator in the MSN program. I have witnessed her exceptional commitment to learn, grow, support the students, and continuously improve our FNP program.

The pandemic has brought many challenges and increased the anxiety of many of our students. As our graduate students are working on the front lines, this has only exacerbated the educational stress of these students. As students are challenged and anxious, I have seen Dr. Kelly approach each one in a calm and reassuring manner. She has become an expert troubleshooter of clinical placement challenges along with our MSN clinical coordinator.

She is willing to take on any work that is requested to keep our FNP program running as smoothly as possible and continues to grow and mature in that role. She is gaining confidence and has been a tremendous asset to me during my own transition into this administrative role. Dr. Kelly exemplifies dedication to students and student success.

In conclusion, it has been a pleasure to work alongside Dr. Kelly and experience her dedication to the success and support of students. I enthusiastically support her for the CELCON DAISY Award.
