Duane Waid, BSN, RN

Duane is a GREAT nurse and person. I am 10 years old and I had to have a chest tube, 2 surgeries, and 8 IVs. I felt a lot of discomfort and I was sad and in pain until Duane became my nurse. He is super funny and when I was sad and in pain, he came into my life and brightened my day! I love his outfits and what he wears. For starters, he always has a funny headband, sweatband, socks, and shirt, and I love it! I was always looking forward to seeing him even if he wanted to give me a shot or medicine. When he walks down the hallway, he is always the brightest and most noticeable. Duane has been my favorite part of my stay at Primary Children’s.
