This nomination is for total care, by that I mean my wife (the patient), and me (the husband), my children and their spouses. My wife, a 50+ year RN herself, who would work tirelessly to help others, deserved the best of care and she got it at Eisenhower Medical Center. Dulce and Gaby gave of themselves selflessly. They went above and beyond to care for S and our family. Our family will forever be grateful for the exceptional care S received to make her last days as comfortable as possible.
My family is pretty much medically minded with a lot of nurses and doctors within. So when I asked if Dr. T would consent to consulting with them he never hesitated in saying, "Yes". I was assured by these nurses that this was the best hospital and doctor to be found. My thinking was since they were part of the team at Ohio University Hospital that helped turn it around previously for S, maybe they could lend some insight. Turns out Eisenhower Medical Center did everything humanly possible to save her.
What a blessing it is to work with people who truly care. Even when I came back to thank them, the tears of compassion flowed freely, when I wondered if they would even remember me.
